Price Signals
Aggregate tariffs, wholesale prices, export rates, demand response, and carbon intensity into one weighted price indicator for product behavior.
For builders of energy software
Turn energy behavior into dollars, cents, and CO2e.
WattShift turns utility tariffs, DR programs, VPP markets, carbon intensity, and export compensation into one API for operating decisions and customer-facing value proof.
Solutions
Start where your workflow needs help: runtime signals for operation, impact modeling for value proof, and Utility Rate Database underneath both.
Aggregate tariffs, wholesale prices, export rates, demand response, and carbon intensity into one weighted price indicator for product behavior.
Show customers the value of your offering in dollars, cents, carbon, and bill outcomes across device configurations and tariff scenarios.
Product-ready tariff and export rules give Price Signals and Impact Calculations the underlying economic truth they run on, so teams can build on one consistent engine instead of stitching together utility logic themselves.
Signal Assembly
WattShift combines five grid incentive categories into one actionable optimization signal.
Complex rate structures simplified
Real-time market signals
Net metering & export values
Grid service opportunities
Environmental impact pricing
Use Cases
These are the device categories and customer workflows where WattShift's solution surfaces usually show up first.

WattShift's Story
How a decade in behind-the-meter energy optimization led to WattShift’s two core product choices.
Every energy software team had to wire together VPPs, DERMS, rates, carbon, solar, and export logic on its own. Price Signals replaces that custom stack with one unified API.
We spent a year building Price Signals on existing utility rate databases. Coverage gaps, accuracy issues, update latency, and pricing kept holding the product back, so we built our own.
